Ballyseede Castle Hotel

From the moment we booked Ballyseede Castle as our wedding venue, it exceeded our expectations at every turn. The journey leading up to the big day was seamless, thanks to the professional and accommodating staff who went above and beyond to ensure everything was in place. Mary and Hilla, in particular, were exceptional. Their dedication and warmth made the entire process feel personal and stress-free. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries, making us feel like our wedding was as important to them as it was to us. On the day of the wedding, the castle's charm combined with the staff's efficiency created a magical atmosphere. Every detail was carefully executed, from the elegant decor to the delicious food. The team's coordination and attention to our needs allowed us to fully enjoy our special day without any worries. The check-out process was equally smooth, and we left with hearts full of gratitude for the exceptional experience provided by Ballyseede Castle. Such a pretty venue. My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and spacious. We liked the under counter lightning in the bathroom. The grounds are very pretty to walk through as well. Breakfast was included and was very good. Pictured is the eggs Benedict with a side of sausage and bacon. We also had dinner from the All Day Menu at the bar area and that was also delicious. Pictured is the braised beef and Guiness pie with mashed potatoes, gravy and a carrot and it was superb. My wife had a curry that was also excellent. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

When we first pulled up I was in complete awe! This place is absolutely gorgeous and the pictures don’t do its justice at all. Check in was a breeze and the reception was very informative with everything from dinner reservations and breakfast times to explaining everything about the rooms. The sheer history of this place is amazing. We stayed on the 3rd floor so it wasn’t an issue for us to use the main stairs to head up. They do not have an elevator or lift but did offer to bring out bags up. The room was absolutely stunning and definitely made me feel as if we were thrown back in time. Everything was clean and cozy and there was plenty of outlets for us to use to charge our devices. The grounds were just stunning and we were able to walk around the perimeter of the castle to check it out. We even ended up in one of the lounges and played a game of chess. We ate in the bar and the food was just unbelievably delicious. We even got to see Molly who is adorably cuter in person as well. This stay made me feel like a princess for sure!

We only stayed here one night (that's all I could afford! haha) but it was worth the stay. We had a large suite with a four poster bed, claw foot tub and gorgeous bathroom. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. We also ate in the pub and the food was decent, but perhaps not as good as expected. The restaurant didn't have opening until late, so book in advance if you want that! The grounds are lovely and they have multiple dogs, including two huge wolfhounds - very friendly and run to see lounging on the front steps. Decor is fantastic with amazing art. Wish we could have stayed longer and tried out some other services. Location is outside Tralee, so nothing within walking distance. We expected this, but I gave lower stars only because it isn't really near anything if a traveller is expecting that.
